Weather Preparedness

March is weather preparedness month for State of Illinois schools. During the month of March, we will practice a severe storm drill (tornado). We teach students and staff what to do in the event of a severe storm. As we have had many severe/unusual storms pass through in the last few years, I urge you to have a plan for your family at home: have a flashlight available, keep a supply of drinking water, and practice with your children.

  • Tornado Watch - A tornado is possible. Stay alert. Prepare to take shelter.
  • Tornado Warning – There was a tornado sighted. Take shelter.
Field/Carnival Day - May 31

Mark your calendar for May 31 is field/carnival day. We need many, many volunteers to support games and activities.

Students in grade 3-5 will take two English/Language Arts (ELA) tests and three math tests. Students will take the test online. Students need to try their best when taking the test as it is important students show growth from year to year.
