Colder Weather is Here!

Please make sure your child dresses appropriately for the weather. Recess continues outdoors if the temperature is 15 degrees Fahrenheit or above. Outside recess is mandatory for students unless they have a doctor’s note to stay inside. Make sure students have shoes to change from their boots when they arrive at school. I suggest to the students to dress in layers. No shorts or hoodies please!

Penny Challenge

Students will engage in a penny challenge from Monday, December 5 through Friday, December 9 to raise money to donate to those in need at Kuzma Care Cottage. Each classroom will have a container for their pennies. Students may bring in as many pennies as they wish. The goal is to raise as much money as possible using only pennies. Please see our penny challenge flyer for more information.

Holiday Programs

Second and third grades will present their holiday programs to the community on Wednesday, December 7. Second grade will perform An Old-Fashioned Christmas at 5:30 p.m. Third grade will perform The Littlest Reindeer at 6:30 p.m. Families should enter through the Wilmington Middle School (WMS) game entrance. All families will exit out the main doors of WMS. All families will need to leave immediately after each performance. If you have a second and third grade student, you will need to wait in the parking lot for the third-grade program. Please call Mrs. Dennis if you have any questions.
