Operation Parent

Parents, social media, peer pressure, parties, bullying, drug trends, and underage drinking…it’s not easy raising a teen! The Operation Parent class is a perfect way to raise your awareness regarding today’s teens and pre-teen culture. You will not only walk away with solid, practical strategies for raising incredible teenagers, but you will also leave knowing you ‘re not alone as you navigate through these trying years.

For more information or to register, call the Wilmington coalition at (815) 476.1660. You can find out more information on the Operation Parent website.

Dress for the Weather

Please note that SIS students will go outside for recess unless it is raining or the temperature is below 15 degrees Fahrenheit. We require all students go out for recess. The only exception is a doctor’s note to stay inside. Students should have winter coats, hats, and gloves/mittens. Please be sure to prepare your students! Mrs. Dennis makes this announcement every morning.

Second Grade Christmas Program

Our second graders recently performed Forty Winks as their Christmas program. The show was wonderful, and it really got us all into the holiday spirit!
