Stevens Intermediate Clubs
Our students have the opportunity to do more than just expand their minds academically; they have the chance to go beyond the classroom walls and learn by doing. School-sponsored clubs allow students explore and discover new things about themselves and the world around them. We invite you and your child to learn more about the clubs we offer at Stevens Intermediate School by contacting the school office.
Fifth Grade Band
This group is for any child who is in the fifth grade and interested in learning to play a musical instrument.
Throughout the school year, band students have small-group lessons and full-band rehearsals during the school day. In addition to learning to appreciate music more and learning to play an instrument of their choice, some of the fun activities your child can expect are:
- Earning pizza and ice cream parties as rewards
- Band snack days
- The option to perform a solo in front of a judge at music contests
- Performing at school assemblies and concerts for parents and friends
Playing an instrument is a great way for students to learn responsibility and teamwork. It’s also a great way to meet new friends!
